Another one from last year’s Glimmer Festival where I was introduced to the work of Tony Hill.

Unfortunately I was unable to attend either of his art installations at the RED gallery and Ferens Art Gallery, or his screenings – one, a retrospective of his work, and the other, a ‘Carte Blanche’ screening of films that had inspired him. However, the process of editing this video together has gone some way to making up for missing out on actually being there; Through seeing the films and installation and listening to what Tony had to say about them, we find an artist whose work is preoccupied with unique visual perspectives and a drive to realize those on film through the dedicated crafting of ‘home-made’ camera rigs.

Produced as part of an event documentation package for Hull Film – This is an interview with artists Matt Wand and Ben Gwilliam after their back to back ‘foley’ performances at Glimmer 2011.
